The Pre-Training for the Rest of My Life, D.B.

Before coming to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA), I had been in the local church for eight years. I began meeting in the local church during high school, and although I received much care from the believers there, what impressed me most was the vision in the Bible that was brought to light thorough the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee.

In my high school years, and especially during my college years, I enjoyed reading publications by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee because I was brought more and more into the revelation of what God's desire is and what He is doing. Then, after graduating from college, I came to the FTTA.

Although I gained more knowledge and revelation of the truths in the Bible during my time here, what stands out in my experience is being in an environment of being encouraged to grow in the Lord and to share Him with others. God desires to have the church as the Body of Christ, but this Body needs to be built up through the preaching of the gospel and helping the new believers in Christ to grow in life unto maturity. Of course, the only real way to learn this is by doing it, and the Training has been a big help for that. We are in a structured environment with supervised gospel teams and have scheduled times to go to the college campuses.

After these two years, I don't feel like I have mastered the art of building up the Body of Christ, but I do feel like there has been some progress. So, I'll need the rest of my life to practice and learn these things. I consider my graduation from the Full-Time Training to be my graduation into the rest of my life in God.
